Another chapter in the Parker Lee Foundation book of fundraising madness is on tap for Friday, December 29th at Fado Irish Pub located at Easton Town Center.
The Guinness 500, the first of its name and the beginning of what hopes to be years of fun and frivolity like the PBR10K has become, will see the first pint poured at 12:00 pm. Josh "Parker" Adkins will kickoff the festivities with a rousing toast and drink Guinness pint #001.
Plenty of fun and prizes throughout the day. Fado Irish Pub will be giving away four keg parties at 2:00, 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00 pm. No purchase necessary to win, however the winner must be present to win.
The ParkerLee Foundation will be selling raffle tickets to win prizes coinciding with the purchase of pints #100, #200, #300 and #400.
Prizes include (so far):
- Two tickets to Dogs and Drinks for Directions on Thursday 2/1 at Strongwater (donated by Dee Dee Welch)
- Four tickets to a Tullamore Dew sampling event at Fado Irish Pub on Friday 2/16 (donated by Fado)
- Four tickets to the PBR10K'18 on Saturday 2/24 at Pins Mechanical downtown (donated by the Parker Lee Foundation)
- $100 Fado gift card
- One free night at the Easton Hilton
The most exciting point of the day will be the auction of Guinness #500.
The winning bidder will not only get the right to drink that legendary pint but will also win a Free Pint of a Day for A Year at Fado; a Guinness Harp trophy and an engraved souvenir Guinness 500 Pint Glass.
Just Angelo joins the madness at 6 pm playing some Guinness drinking tunes for the crowd as a pre-game treat.
As if things couldn't get crazier, the OSU-USC Cotton Bowl kicks off at 8:30 pm.
Central Ohio Safe Ride will assist in getting you home safely by providing an Uber code which gets you $10 off your ride home.
Come celebrate the last Friday of 2017 with the Parker Lee Foundation, and the great Fado Irish Pub staff in what hopes to become a new holiday tradition.
